About The Grand Rapids Fishery
We have been in business since 1982 with the same owner for 35 years until an employee of ten years took over the business. Now over 8 years later, we are still the best deep-fried seafood takeout spot in west Michigan. Our fish comes from multiple sources around the world which allows us to focus on the best quality and sustainable product for our customers-Which is why we are here-Our Customers.
Although the fish is the star of the show, our tartar sauce has been hailed as some of the best tartar sauce ever created. It’s a secret recipe that has stayed with the restaurant since it opened, and you can only find it here!

Just ordered take-out from here, whoever came up with the idea for the raspberry cheesecake chimis deserves an award! The fish, fries and mushrooms were also excellent!

I went here tonight (6/17/26) for dinner. They didn't disappoint at all. I had the red shrimp and walleye. The freshness and flavor was amazing. The eating area was very small and out dated but I was alone and it was perfect for me. They have a spicy tarter sauce that was the best I have ever tried. The guy at the counter was very helpful an nice. I will be back here very soon!

This place is the best fish fry I've had in the Grand Rapids area. I came in on a whim to grab lunch and it was so good my whole team now orders it once a week. The fish is fresh, never greasy and seasoned perfectly.

Three stars they didn't have smelt part of that's on me I could have checked ahead of time 😔 Prices seem in line but still a bit high. I feel, again probably not them to blame. Hopefully they'll adjust their pricing as your products are offered at a better price. Will go back when smelt is in season

WOW!! Absolutely fantastic! So glad I stopped in to try this place out. Great food, Great people! Already looking forward to my next visit. The spicy tartar is a must.
